DECIBELLE RECORDING

Uncompromising Record Making, Scoring, and Dolby Atmos™ Film/TV Audio Post
Decibelle Recording is located in the Noe Valley district of San Francisco. It is owned and operated by producer/mixer JJ Wiesler and it is the headquarters of Pollen Music Group. The studio, originally called Mobius, was built in 1976 by engineer Oliver DiCicco. Oliver closed the studio to the public in 2002, though he continues to do some work for his own project Mobius music.
The studio has lots of instruments: drum kits, piano, Hammond, Wurli, celeste, bells, guitars, basses, and analog synths. These are often left set-up and mic’ed to reduce wasted time and keep the space conducive to the creative process.
2021 Update: Using the temporary closing caused by CV-19, the studio underwent a remodel that added an Atmos™ capable mixing stage and extensive audio post capabilities. Decibelle is space that is truly optimized for creativity and productivity. Whether it be recording making and scoring, or surround mixing for streaming, broadcast, and theatrical releases, Decibelle is capable of hosting a broad range of sessions.
Piano Tuning is not included. We can schedule for you at $150. It is recommended for any piano-centric sessions. Drum heads, batteries and other expendables are not included in rate.
Cancellation within 72 hours 50% of total booking, within 24 hours is 100% of total booking. Rescheduling is allowed and fees can be applied to that booking.
